HistoryThe element Copernicium was discovered by S. Hofmann et al.(GSI in Darmstadt) in year 1996 in Germany. Copernicium derived its name from Nicolaus Copernicus, astronomer.The element Molybdenum was discovered by W. Scheele in year 1778 in Sweden. Molybdenum derived its name from the Greek word molybdos meaning 'lead'.
