It is a Girls Day School, which serves the educational needs of hundreds of students from Nursery through XII. The classes in St. Agnes' Loreto Day School Lucknow for every academic year begins in April and ends in March.
St. Agnes' Loreto Day School Lucknow is unaided all girls' Roman catholic Christian school. The school is meant primarily for Catholics. School is also open to girls of other religions.
In 1846 Loreto Convent School Darjeeling was established. In 1872, after running the school successfully for 25 years, 6 nuns from the Darjeeling community led by Mother Joseph Hogan (Founder of Loreto Convent School Darjeeling) moved to Lucknow to open the Loreto Convent Lucknow. In 1904 based on the need of the Anglo Indian Community Sister Clarire Miller founded the St. Agnes’ Loreto Day School and she became the first principal.
The School became High School in 1954 at that time school was affiliated to UP Board for High School. At present school is affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) education system.
School also runs a Hindi Medium school, Pushpa Vidyalaya for the less privileged.
The Loreto Schools are associated with Sisters of Loreto and run by Loreto Education Society. Mary Ward, an EnglishWomen founded the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ireland. The Nuns who are member of this institute are called Loreto Nuns or Loreto Sisters.

- Application Forms for admission to Nursery Class will be available on the School website. (3rd or 4th Week of October)
- Parents have to complete the registration form online and pay the application fee of Rs 500 while submitting the form.

- Parents have to take the Print out of the filled application form and acknowledgement slip and submit the same as per the dates mentioned in the slip
- Paste the passport sized photograph of the child and a postcard size family photograph.
- Put the signature in the signature boxes provided in the form.
- School will schedule an Interactive session with the Principal. Parents have to show the Acknowledgement Slip before meeting with the Principal.

- Scheduled Caste / Tribe Certificate for S.C/ S.T child.
- Address Proof: Election Card/ Driving License/ Passport/Aadhar Card / Ration Card.
Parents have to get the attested photocopies attested from the gazetted officer.
