Cambridge School was founded on the 7th of April 1931 in a small flat in Qutub Road, Delhi. It moved soon after to 21 Daryaganj and - as it grew - to 2 Daryaganj. By the nineteen forties it had already established itself as one of the foremost schools in the city.
Cambridge Primary School now in New Friends colony was established in 1937, when the kindergarten and primary sections of Cambridge School, Delhi were separated and moved to 107, Daryaganj.
The oldest of the Cambridge Primary Schools, it moved to its present location in the year 1984. The school building as it currently stands was inaugurated in July 2003.

Delhi Nursery (Pre School) Admission 2024
Delhi Nursery (PreSchool) Admission Process for admission to Open Seats in Cambridge School, New Friends Colony and other private schools will start from 23 November 2023. School will upload the admission procedure and admission criteria along with points for each criterion for admission in Open seats (non-EWS/DG/CWSN category seats), on its official website/notice board and edudel website by November 20, 2023.
The government has set an upper age limit of less than four years to be eligible for nursery, less than five years for kindergarten, and less than six years for admission to Class 1.
The Directorate of Education has fixed a minimum age and upper age limit as on 31st March of the year in which the admission is sought for admission in the nursery, kindergarten, and Class 1.
In Cambridge School, New Friends Colony and all other private schools 25% seats in pre-school (Nursery), pre-primary (KG) and Class 1 of are reserved for economically weaker sections/disadvantaged groups (EWS/DG) as per RTE act.

- Schools will share the details of children who have applied for admission and points allotted to each of them by the schools under their point system on school'we bsite/notice board by 5th January, 2024 (Friday).
- The school will conduct draw of lots (computerized or through slips) in a transparent manner in presence of parents and will publish the list of selected children will be out on (including waiting list) on 12th January 2024.
- After draw of lots, schools will share the details of children admitted and in waiting under Open seats along with points allotted to them on the schools website/notice board and edudel website on 12th January 2024.

Admission Procedure
- Parents have to fill and submit the application form online. - The pre-school (nursery) admission process is fully online. The form has to be filled up online and submitted online too
- A lottery will be conducted within the general category if seats are vacant, and there are applicants with the same number of points.
- Parents whose children are selected in the general category or management quota should come to the school to confirm admission and pay the fees, between 09.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.
- After verifying the documents of both parents the school office will ask them to fill up and sign the admission
- After checking the admission , completed and signed by both parents, the school office will issue the fee bill.

Parents whose children are selected must bring the originals and photocopies of all documents as mentioned below for verification.
