Delhi Nursery (Pre School) Admission 2024
Delhi Nursery (PreSchool) Admission Process for admission to Open Seats in Apeejay School International, Sheikh Sarai and other private schools will start from 23 November 2023. School will upload the admission procedure and admission criteria along with points for each criterion for admission in Open seats (non-EWS/DG/CWSN category seats), on its official website/notice board and edudel website by November 20, 2023.
The government has set an upper age limit of less than four years to be eligible for nursery, less than five years for kindergarten, and less than six years for admission to Class 1.
The Directorate of Education has fixed a minimum age and upper age limit as on 31st March of the year in which the admission is sought for admission in the nursery, kindergarten, and Class 1.
In Apeejay School International, Sheikh Sarai and all other private schools 25% seats in pre-school (Nursery), pre-primary (KG) and Class 1 of are reserved for economically weaker sections/disadvantaged groups (EWS/DG) as per RTE act.

Admission Process
- Fill online/offline form in the desired schools by 15 December 2023 (Friday)
- Upload/share all the requested documents, check school website for complete list
- Schools will share the details of children who have applied for admission and points allotted to each of them by the schools under their point system on school'we bsite/notice board by 5th January, 2024 (Friday).
- The school will conduct draw of lots (computerized or through slips) in a transparent manner in presence of parents and will publish the list of selected children will be out on (including waiting list) on 12th January 2024.
- After draw of lots, schools will share the details of children admitted and in waiting under Open seats along with points allotted to them on the schools website/notice board and edudel website on 12th January 2024.
Admission Process
- Submit an online Enquiry or Registration Form available at the School reception. Parents will receive a confirmation email containing your Enquiry Number.
- The application fee is INR 11,000 + transaction charges @ 1.5%. These charges are non-refundable.
- Pay the registration fee and bring the following documents to the School to complete the registration process:
- 1 self-attested copy of both the child’s and parents’ Aadhar Card or Passport
- Original Aadhar Card/Passport (of child and parents, for verification)
- 1 self-attested copy of the child’s birth certificate
- 4 recent passport-sized photographs of the child (with a white background)
- 2 years’ of previous school reports (for Grade 2 and beyond)
- 1 self-attested vaccination record copy (for Grade 1 and Grade 2 applicants)
- The School will contact you to schedule an interaction and/or assessment test (assessment tests for English and Mathematics are required for Grade 2 upwards).
- Upon completion of the interaction and/or assessment test, the School will contact you if your child has been offered a seat.
- Bring your child’s Transfer Certificate to the School and make fee payment to secure a seat. After verification of the documents and payment of the fee, an admission acceptance letter will be sent confirming the admission.
