For the admission in academic session 2019-20, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2019 (NEET 2019) entrance test on Sunday, 5th May, 2019 for the admissions to MBBS & BDS courses in India. The result will be declared on NTA website By 05.06.2019. Till 2018, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was conducting the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). Please note admission to AIIMS is through AIIMS Entrance Exam and JIPMER is through JIPMER MBBS Exam.

In NEET 2018, A total of 7,14,562 candidates have been qualified for the admission out of total 13,26,725 who had appeared for the exam. The exam was conducted in 10 languages including Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Oriya, Kannada and Telugu. The last date of submission of Online Application Form has been extended from 30.11.2018 to 07.12.2018 and fee payment from 01.12.2018 to 08.12.2018
National Testing Agency (NTA)
The Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent testing organisation for conducting test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.
NEET (UG) 2019 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. The NEET (UG) - 2019 will be conducted on Sunday, 5th May, 2019.

The NEET UG will be conducted through one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Refer to below table for more information on Pattern of NEET Exam. Exam pattern is same as NEET UG 2018.
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test NEET (UG) - 2019 will be conducted on 5th May, 2019 (Sunday) from 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. The duration of test will be three (03) hours.
Each question carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks.
For each incorrect response one mark will be deducted for the total score.
The Question Papers for the test shall be based on a Common Syllabus notified by the Medical Council of India and implemented in the year 2013. It is also available at www.mciindia.org.

Admissions to all seats of MBBS/BDS courses will be done through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2019 . The seats are classified in the following categories:
Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG) is as stipulated in Indian Medical Council Act-1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2018.
NEET has become the first Global Entrance Examination in the country. Following were allowed to appear in NEET-UG, 2018:
Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.
for NEET UG 2019, Candidates can apply ONLY ONLINE.
An All India merit list consisting of the qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the NEET (UG) exam. Candidates will be admitted to MBBS and BDS courses based on the list as per the existing reservation policy.
Note: Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses within the respective categories will be based only on marks obtained in the NEET exam.
As per the information available on Medical Council of India (MCI) & Dental Council of India (DCI) websites, there are 470 medical colleges with approximately 65,170 seats of MBBS and nearly 25,730 seats for BDS are available in 308 Dental colleges. 5% seats of the annual sanctioned intake shall be filled by candidates falling under Persons with Bench Mark disabilities as per MCI Guidelines/ Regulations in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Admission under State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory
Admission to Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC including DELHI UNIVERSITY (DU), BHU & AMU will be conducted by DGHS and reservation policy will be as per rules and regulations of the concerned University or Institution. Candidates should register on MCC website for admission to Deemed / Central University/ ESIC and AFMC.
Admission to AFMC, Pune shall be subject to the norms prescribed by the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Candidates who apply for NEET (UG) - 2019 and/or for seeking admission in AFMC will also have to apply to AFMC on www.afmc.nic.in/www.afmcdg1d.gov.in.

On the release of the score card of NEET 2019 result and All India Rank , state authorities will prepare and give their merit list. Based on the ranks student gets in the state wise and all over India, colleges will give admission for MBBS & BDS courses.
Online counselling would be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services.
