St. Paul's Senior Secondary School, Anand Nagar, Bhopal

 St. Paul senior secondary Co-Ed school, affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, is one of the largest network of educational institutes run by CMI Fathers all over India, especially in the southern states. The CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) Congregation was founded by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara in Kerala in 1831. St. Chavara was a man of God, who could see beyond his times, and visualize a society based on the values of love, equality, justice and brotherhood. St. Chavara's educational initiatives were monumental. The Sanskrit School that he started at Mannanam in Kerala in the late forties of 19th Cent was a daring and significant step in his life. It was one of his conscientious attempts to revive the ancient language. Yet another daring move was the setting up of "Church Schools". He started many educational and social institutions in Kerala paving a sound footing to the literacy of that part of our country. The CMI fathers have carried this legacy of their founder out of Kerala to other parts of India and across the continents. At present, the CMIs have, to their credit, over 680 educational institutions of great repute all over India and abroad. These include not only schools but also many prestigious autonomous leges and deemed to be universities, Medical and Engineering leges. Through these temples of learning, thousands of future leaders of our mother land are groomed year after year to become intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally upright, psychologically integrated, physically fit and socially acceptable to champion the cause of justice, love, truth and peace.

The school aspires towards creating a just and humane society where dignity of the human person is respected; where unjust social structures are challenged; where our cultural heritage of ahimsa, religious harmony and national integration is upheld; where the poor, the marginalized and women are specially taken care of and empowered.

Our institution is open to all students irrespective of caste and creed; they are accepted and cherished as they are and are helped to grow in their cultural, social and religious traditions. As they are privileged to be in our institution, they will also have the right to get acquainted with the person, Jesus Christ and his Gospel. Being an institution established and administered by and for a minority community based on religion, it will give preference to Christians in admissions and appointments and have a special concern for the faith ation of the Christian youth.

The school reaches out to the families of the students to assist them in their needs, to share in their joys and sorrows and to help them experience love and freedom so that the students realize that St. Paul School is an extension of their homes.
