Oakridge International School, Bangalore (Bengaluru)

I have two children in grade 5th and 10th respectively going to Oakridge. As parents we are very happy with the development of our children and their learning journey. The school has a robust curriculum and the students get ample opportunities to hone their skills. There is a sense of belonging and children are able to express themselves to the teachers without any inhibition. Our children are developing into confident individuals and independent lifelong learners.

I went for admission enquiry and i was not allowed to enter the secuirty gate rather told to book an appointment online.Basic hospitality is missing in these commercial run so called international schools, how can we expect quality education from pople who do not know how to treat humans with respect?

This school runs full day for pre-primary i.e nursery, PP1 and PP2. This is biggest problem/drawback of this school. My kid went to this school for 2 years and we have taken back from this school because of this reason and transport (late drop to home).If they are not eating lunch properly in school, then by the time they reach home in evening, they will loose all energy/became weak/Sick. I feel, It is one of bad school in Bangalore for pre-primary school.

Went for my son's admission here, since we were coming from abroad I had emailed them first and went for an appointment. The following are the negative points for me ... 1: I specifically asked for fees structure, and other pre requisites for admission, which was not communicated with me, even during mails( as these are the points which me as a parent would consider before admission) 2: The staff attitude was very bad, and unprofessional;had to repeatedly ask about the fee structure, which they were not ready for any discussion, when at last they told me(very rudely)only if I say yes and sign a bond that i am ready for admission, will they divulge their fee structure. 3: Fee was not the problem, it was the attitude Due to their pushy and snotty attitude, I didn't select this school for my son.

One of the top money making school in Bangalore, Teachers continuously leaving school. Teachers doesn't even have good communication or teaching skill. Most of the teachers work here are freshers. Recent change in management, has just lead to the hike in the fee.

Im not sure if its a good idea to Run a full day school for pre primary kids too...kids of that age cant say what they want and can only be comfortable with parents..a decent 3hr school would just do fine..parents hav to pack 2 boxes if they dont opt for school lunch, send bedding stuff etc which makes no sense...all because they hav Not got enough strength and cant afford for noon buses. Every now and then theres an event and teachers are busy planning for the event and whole time gets wasted...rather spend time on child...something productive... The school seems to b giving a vibe of la la Land and no serious focus on either academics or extra curriculars is given..teachers dont seem to be motivated as there Is no proper strength and school will proudly counter it saying low teachers to student ratio...individual attention is given bla bla...but students dont build that competetive spirit at all...its like they dont have a clue of very purpose of school... Some parents may like it for a while but it will take no longer that they realise whats happening and very little is left that they can do and fear changing the school as neighter they nor their kids can sustain other schools which are defnitely more disciplined than Oakridge ..this school made me realise that these self proclaimed upscale schools dont prepare kids for life and regular schools which we studied in are always the best bet and can hope kids can be atleast half qualified as we are..
