The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheets for the Class 10 board examinations 2026. CBSE had earlier announced that from 2026 onwards there will be two sets of board examinations - Exam 1 and Exam 2. CBSE board exam for class 10th, 1st edition will be held between February 17 to March 9, 2026 and the second edition is scheduled from May 15 to June 1, 2026
In 2026, approximately 45 lakh candidates are expected to appear in 204 subjects across Classes X and XII from India and 26 countries abroad. According to the CBSE, this year’s Class 10th two-exam system allows students who may not meet their expectations in the February-March session to have another chance in the May-June session, without having to wait a full year.

A student has to pass in all five subjects with a minimum of 33 per cent marks. They also need to get 33 per cent overall to pass the 10th board exams.
