The Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Education (TNDGE) has officially released the HSE (+2) or Class 12 results for 2025, and the state has once again maintained an impressive academic record with a 95.03% pass percentage. Students can now access their marks through the official result portal: tnresults.nic.in.
This year, over 8.5 lakh students appeared for the HSE examinations held in March, and the results reflect the state’s continued focus on quality education and academic consistency.
Where and How to Check TN +2 Results
Students can check their individual marks by following these steps:
- Visit - tnresults.nic.in.
- Click on the “HSE (+2) March 2025 Result” link
- Enter your registration number and date of birth
- Submit to view and download your marksheet
The digital marksheets are considered provisional. The official printed certificates will be distributed by the respective schools starting the third week of May.
Performance Overview
- Total students appeared: 8.51 lakh
- Total passed: Approx. 8.09 lakh
- Pass percentage: 95.03%
- Girls pass percentage: 96.44%
- Boys pass percentage: 93.54%
- Number of centum scorers in Maths: 3,022
Once again, girls have outperformed boys, a trend that has remained consistent over the past few years.
Subjects such as Mathematics, Accountancy, Biology, and Physics recorded high scores, with many students scoring above 580 out of 600.
District-Wise Performance
Districts like Virudhunagar, Erode, and Tiruppur have emerged as top performers in terms of overall pass percentages. Detailed district-wise data is expected to be released by the board later this week.
Revaluation and Supplementary Exams
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for:
- Re-totalling
- Revaluation of answer scripts
- Photocopy of evaluated scripts
The application process begins on May 10, 2025, via dge.tn.gov.in.
Students who failed one or more subjects can appear for supplementary exams, expected to be held in June 2025. Detailed schedules will be published soon.
