What are the best activities for teens during the lockdown period?

Lockdown period is the best time for teenagers to enhance their skills. They can do so much of interesting yet useful activities during the lockdown period.

1. Cooking- 

we always thought that cooking is for girls or for mothers only. But no, everyone should know cooking. It is a life-saving skill. You'll never sleep hungry if alone. If you know cooking then you can survive anywhere.

2. Internships-

There are so many companies which are providing online internships to students. This is the best time to learn some practical aspects of your studies and add some valuable skills in your CV. It'll provide you a knowledge that what you can do after school.

3. Reading-

Reading is the best activity. In the era of internet or videos we are more dependent on videos rather than reading blogs or books. And we should never stop reading books

4.Doing household chores-

After cooking, it is equally important to do household chores and clean your messy stuffs. 

This lockdown is a very crucial time to fight the coronavirus. So it is important for us to stay at home and prevent the spread of coronavirus.
So we have to keep in mind the environment to keep our kids healthy amdist this lockdown.
They should be made to exercise rdd
. Exercises like skipping , stretching, situps etc. Should be done by kids. Even we ,parents, should accompany them in the exercises firstly to keep ourselves fit too and secondly setting them a personal example and as a source of motivation for them to carry on with the daily exercises.
They should be fed a balanced diet. Proper food , even during these lockdown, should be provided to the children so that they remain healthy. If possible juice, curd, all sources of protein and especially green vegetables should be provided to the children through appealing yet healthy foods.
Sleeping patterns should not be changed.
Proper sleep even during this lockdown should be maintained. Timely going to bed and waking up should be maintained to ensure a good quality of rest to the kids body.
Other than just food and physical exercises, mental exercises should be done. They should be made to play indoor games to keep them rejuvenated even when they are restricted at home.

Home is the primary and immediate area of socialization. So it is important for us to make the home an interesting and fun place and a very compatible and friendly environment to promote and maintain healthy relationships between all the members and most importantly.
All of us due to the technological advancements, are mostly into our mobile phones. We can use games and apps on our phones to keep them engaged in the process of learning.
We can also do some healthy family bonding activities so that they enjoy some quality time with the family and learn from it at the same time.
One of the best way is by playing group games. Board games like Ludo, snakes and ladders and chess. These games help maintaining solidarity and friendliness amongst the family members and could cater to increase the thought processes and iq level of children. Playing dumb charades , antakshari, singing , dancing and organizing small quizzes among the members helps in building the kid's morale and through quiz, his general knowledge increases.
You can binge watch family movies, comedy movies, historical and informative movies so that everyone will enjoy and kids will learn out of it.
Games like monopoly etc might help to provide some quality time. Games like crosswords, scrabble will help increase their vocabulary and knowledge.

Reading them stories and books will increase their literary skills, and their knowledge of books. 

All these activites, including organzing quizzes from their academic books will help increase their brainpower and develop them better.

We all know about the outbreak of COVID-19 and the resulting lockdown. Apart from lockdown, it is very risky to go out unnecessarily. Hence, most of the people are spending time at home. For teens it is the most difficult thing because some are missing their school life, some are missing college days while some are missing the meetups with their mains. Therefore, here is a list of things one can do to avoid boredom and stress:

1. Try your hand in cooking new dishes because it's not safe to eat restaurant food. It will help your mom too in kitchen work.

2. As outdoor games are not an option for the time being, give some time to indoor games like ludo, carrom, etc. Playing it with all the family members will give more pleasure.

3. If you are a bibliophile, then go through your school or college books. It's the best time to study. If not education-related books, try some good novels. Besides increasing vocabulary and reading skills, it will give you a jolly time.

4. Watch some movies at night or complete your incompletely watched web series.

5. Being at home has reduced your physical activity considerably, hence it's important to exercise at home with whatever equipment you have or go for weight-bearing exercises.

6. As being fit from inside is a necessity nowadays, you need to eat healthy especially protein and vitamin C rich diet to boost up your immunity.
