How we protect our family in the COVID situation?

With the increasing cases of coronavirus all around the world, it is important to protect our family in the COVID situation because prevention is better than cure

Tips to protect your family from coronavirus are-

1. Social Distancing

According to the World Health Organisation(WHO), it is spreading from infected human to human. So, it is important to maintain social distancing from others.

2. Wash hands for 20 seconds

3. Wear Masks

4. Stay Indoor

It is important to stay indoors and maintain distance from others

5. Sanitize each and everything at home daily

Virus can enter through any object so it is important to sanitize each and every object at home daily.

6. Consult a doctor, if you or any family member have fever, cough and difficult breathing.

In simple words, the immune system is the complex system of cells and proteins in our body that protects our body by fighting off the infection. Whenever any foreign substance enters our body (antigen), our immune system produces antibodies to defend our body against the infection. Antibodies are protective proteins. Here is a list of things you can do to make their immune system stronger:

1. Eat a healthy that includes dark green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, lettuce, cauliflower, cabbage, etc and fruits such as orange, guava and watermelon. Essential nutrients such as vitamin C, iron, folate and antioxidants present in the aforementioned things boosts low immunity.

2. Eat protein-rich foods like chicken, lean beef, eggs, fish. Protein not only helps in muscle building but it promotes the formation of white blood cells that fight off the infection. Plus, zinc and iron present in lean beef also strengthen our defence mechanism.

3. Include turmeric, garlic, honey, ginger and lemon in your daily diet. Lemon is rich in vitamin C. Aforementioned things are rich in antioxidants that foster our immunity.

4. Eat low-fat yoghurt as it has probiotics that help in fighting off infection.

5. Take adequate sleep daily and sleep on time.

6. Do exercise daily as per your goal. Aerobic or muscle-building activities, all contribute to greater immunity.

7. Limit smoking or consumption of alcohol. Quitting is way more effective.

8. Avoid excess weight gaining as the increased weight can lead to serious health problems in the future

Prevention is always better than cure. Try to protect the family by making everyone use atleast a three layered mask, opting for social distancing among people, avoiding to move out of houses, staying indoors happy, contended and safe! Wash your hands after you come from outside and even regularly, make it a habit to wash hands and maintain proper hygiene. Try not to touch things directly, be responsible educate your family, use all proper things of protection, dispose them off. And literally best is being quarantined. If you go out to work, maintain proper distance, use masks everytime, keep your immunity strong, drink lot of water to keep your body hydrated, also take lot of good food, vitamin, mineral rich, and if anytime you feel ill, please quarantine yourself and take proper medication.
