Calcium is one of the essential minerals for the human body as it helps to form and maintain healthy bones and teeth. Calcium is also important for muscle control and blood circulation in the body. Therefore it is also helpful in our muscle contraction and transmitting messages through the nerves and the release of hormones. If our body does not get sufficient amount of calcium through our diet, which is required, then the body starts taking calcium from the bones, to regulate the normal cell functioning which leads to weakened bones.
