BDS Admission Procedure and Eligibility for Admission – BDS Course 2024 - 2025

The admission to Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Dental College & Hospital, Ludhiana BDS course will be through NEET UG exam. Admission to BDS Courses in India in Dental Colleges approved by DCI is through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) [NEET (UG)] except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act and the Dentists Act, NEET UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in India in Medical and Dental Colleges recognised and approved by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Admission to all BDS seats of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Dental College & Hospital, Ludhiana and other Dental colleges in Punjab state is purely on the basis of merit. Candidates who have appeared in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and have cleared the NEET UG Exam conducted in the current academic year based on the NEET result are eligible for the admission.   • Department of Medical Education and Research, Government of Punjab or the body nominated by the department will release the official notification for seeking applications along with the detailed procedure and schedule
  • Candidate who want to apply for Medical courses in Punjab colleges have to apply online on the website of admission committee for the consideration of his candidature. Candidates have to submit the application or admission form within the time line released by the committee.
  • The department/Committee will prepare the result/merit list based on the NEET Score and other criterias. The merit list will be available on the website.

As per Dentists Act 1948, Admission to Post Graduate MDS Courses in Dental Colleges Approved by DCI in India is through NEET MDS. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test MDS (NEET MDS) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate Dental Courses (Dental PG Courses) in India.
