MBBS Admission Procedure and Eligibility for Admission – MBBS Course 2024 - 2025

The admission to Pushpagiri Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Thiruvalla MBBS course will be through NEET UG exam. Admission to MBBS Courses in India in Medical Colleges approved by MCI is through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) [NEET (UG)] except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act and the Dentists Act, NEET UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in India in Medical and Dental Colleges recognised and approved by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Admission to all MBBS seats of Pushpagiri Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Thiruvalla and other Medical colleges in Kerala state is purely on the basis of merit. Candidates who have appeared in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and have cleared the NEET UG Exam conducted in the current academic year based on the NEET result are eligible for the admission. Candidate who want to apply for Medical courses in Kerala colleges have to apply online on the website of admission committee for the consideration of his candidature. Candidates have to submit the application or admission form within the time line released by the committee.
The department/Committee will prepare the result/merit list based on the NEET Score and other criterias. The merit list will be available on the website.
After declaration of merit list, selected candidates will be called for document verification and counselling/admission.
The department/Committee conducts two 2 rounds of counseling/ Seat Allocation and 1 MOP up admission

All government colleges have 15% of total seats for ALL India Quota. As per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses in Medical Colleges approved by MCI in India is through NEET PG. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test PG (NEET-PG) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses and PG Diploma Courses (MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses) in India.

Admission to PG courses of AIIMS, PGIMER, SGPGIMS, NIMHANS and JIPMER is not through NEET PG exam. Know more about NEET PG exam. Know about AIIMS Admission Procedure and JIPMER Admission procedure.

Please note state government, private dental college and universities including the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh will NOT be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2024 - 2025.

Very bad experience.. worst hostility.No enough staff.. very poor interaction as if they are paying us for coming here. Very bad and unhygienic toilets. The blood withdrawal and laboratory enquiry department... the worst in handiling patients.. (Just make these staffs visit Lakeshore Kochi or Aster Medicity kochi just to experince the quality of handling people)

Do NOT give your loved ones in the care of this hospital personnel! They will be dead and will give them back to you in a BOX, Folks. Please go for second and third opinion even if it is a simple surgical procedure or any other diagnosis. I have heard that many unusual deaths occur here and what is the public and the government doing about this? Bad experience in this hospital. My loved one went for the so called key hole procedure for kidney stones, walking and came out of the hospital in the box, Within 48 hours after the procedure in their O.R and admission to the medical ICU (cannot fathom why the surgery patient was taken to a medical ICU). What went wrong in the operating room? Bleeding was an expected complication as per the Doctor before surgery, but if bleeding occurred after surgery, why was she not taken back to the operating room and check where the bleeding was. How did her hemoglobin drop? A simple procedure turned deadly to a patient? Someone has to answer this. I wish the postmortem was done to find out the cause of death. Apparently the hospital takes pride in the fact that , this is the best place for kidney stone surgery. After the procedure, intubation, ventilator, tube from lungs (rupture during the procedure as was told to the family), dialysis, blood transfusion, medication for blood pressure... I am willing to accept all complications...but, the fact that the so called bleeding was not controlled is the major question. The grieving family was of course told all bare facts... The visiting time in Kerala is horrible. It is high time that the government takes an action for this. I request the attention of Chief Minister and Health Minister to this issue. Who regulates these hospital Policy? I am used to hospitals where family is allowed open visitation. At least show them to the loved ones, one at a time for 30 minutes a day. You do not need to allow every one, people! Which century are you all living at? It is high time that you change the rules. Once the patient goes to the ICU, you will not see them other than through the glass. Horrible hospital, do not go there.
