BDS Admission Procedure and Eligibility for Admission – BDS Course 2023 - 2024

The admission to Faculty of Dental Sciences, King George's Medical University, Lucknow BDS course will be through NEET UG exam. Admission to BDS Courses in India in Dental Colleges approved by DCI is through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) [NEET (UG)] except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act and the Dentists Act, NEET UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in India in Medical and Dental Colleges recognised and approved by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Admission to all BDS seats of Faculty of Dental Sciences, King George's Medical University, Lucknow and other Dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh state is purely on the basis of merit. Candidates who have appeared in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and have cleared the NEET UG Exam conducted in the current academic year based on the NEET result are eligible for the admission. A Person will clear the NEET exam if marks obtained by the candidate are equal to or more than qualifying cut off marks. • Department of Medical Education and Research, Government of Uttar Pradesh or the body nominated by the department will release the official notification for seeking applications along with the detailed procedure and schedule
• Candidate who want to apply for Medical courses in Uttar Pradesh colleges have to apply online on the website of admission committee for the consideration of his candidature. Candidates have to submit the application or admission form within the time line released by the committee.
• The department/Committee will prepare the result/merit list based on the NEET Score and other criterias. The merit list will be available on the website.
• After declaration of merit list, selected candidates will be called for document verification and counselling/admission.
• The department/Committee conducts two 2 rounds of counseling/ Seat Allocation and 1 MOP up admission

Admission to All India Quota UG seats

All government colleges have 15% of total seats for ALL India Quota. Dental Post Graduate Courses - MDS – Admission Procedure

As per Dentists Act 1948, Admission to Post Graduate MDS Courses in Dental Colleges Approved by DCI in India is through NEET MDS. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test MDS (NEET MDS) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate Dental Courses (Dental PG Courses) in India.

Please note state government, private dental college and universities including the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh will NOT be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to their MDS Courses for the academic session 2023 - 2024.
