Admision Procedure

MBBS Admission Procedure and Eligibility for Admission – MBBS Course 2024 - 2025

The admission to Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana MBBS course will be through NEET UG exam. Admission to MBBS Courses in India in Medical Colleges approved by MCI is through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) [NEET (UG)] except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act and the Dentists Act, NEET UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in India in Medical and Dental Colleges recognised and approved by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Admission to all MBBS seats of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana and other Medical colleges in Punjab state is purely on the basis of merit. Candidates who have appeared in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and have cleared the NEET UG Exam conducted in the current academic year based on the NEET result are eligible for the admission. Candidate who want to apply for Medical courses in Punjab colleges have to apply online on the website of admission committee for the consideration of his candidature. Candidates have to submit the application or admission form within the time line released by the committee.

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test PG (NEET-PG) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses and PG Diploma Courses (MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses) in India.

Interns and junior doctors will be practising on your patient. Also you have to ask nursing staff multiple times for any job. The staff of DMC is not co-operative and they are very rude in their behaviour also. If you ask anything from the staff they will start getting irritated as they are not aware of rules and policies and everyone will keep on telling different things. Also no arrangement for patients attendant for stay and meal. Nursing staff will ask multiple times to bring medicine. You will hand one medicine and they will ask next to bring. If you are ready to suffer that much then come here only else go somewhere else.

My grandmother was admitted with a stomach infection. One month in ICU ! Yes.. One month. I can't comment on what were the intentions of the doctor but they fail to notice that this duration can lead to BED SORES also. After a heavy bill of 6 lakh rupees, we took her home when doc said that she is better. . But the infection was not cured completely and to add to that Bed sores were creating troubles (a lot!) 5 days after she came home to Barnala, she decided to leave this body as it was becoming unbearable for her. I fail to understand what did the doctors do in that one month. Yes they are not bhagvan but basic common sense was missing I feel. We got false hopes and heavy bills. I just pray that others don't have to experience a similar situation.

The worst hospital in world. In 2017 they killed my Dad. Their only target was to charge money, store medicines but they never give you a proper treatment. Fraud hospital especially the diabetic department. A hospital with untrained staff. i will never go there again.

This is nice hospital , i can write about 100 pages for this hospital and college , in short , i would say that the student those who are studying medicals gets the hand on experience on emergency cases and other patients , but if we look on the other side , that is actually not so good for the patients though coz most the doctors too young to handle the situation, here i am not judging their capabilities but then again practice make man perfect. They have all the latest medical technology available in hospital and hospital itself is government funded. As i said this is the college and hospital , with my personal experience i would say its so big that even there is diversity of doctors so make sure always look for seniors because most of them are students or recently passed out so called "Rookies" ..
