Is it good or bad to bribe your child to do some task?

It is absolutely wrong to bribe your kid to do some task. Maybe he will complete it for the bribery, but if you think carefully it will leave a life long effect on his morality. By bribing our kid we will literally normalize the process of bribery to our kids. So by the time they grow up , bribery will be a normal phenomenon for them and they will tend to apply and use it in all aspects of life. If ever they get into legal trouble or trouble with police , they will bribe their way out of the custody but after a point of time , they'll know that they can get away from all their deeds through the process of bribery and they might end up committing some grave crime from which there is no way of getting out. So its unwise to make bribery a habit to get tasks or work done by our kids.
Instead we can place rewards on completing the task. We can place rewards , this will motivate the child to do work and tasks because there is a prize if he completes it. In this way he will learn healthy competition and will learn to accomplish and achieve goals and targets.
Rewarding is far better and more practical and productive to be implied rather than bribery in which the child's future may turn south later on in their life.

I donnt think it is bad if it is done with some good intentions.

I always remember my childhood days when my father used to bribe me of getting me the latest bicycle available in the market for getting a rank in the class, or my home tutitor to gift me with some favorite books of mine for scoring the highest marks in mathematics or my mother allowing me to watch an extra hour of my favourite anime series if i get to complete my homework early, thus managing my time accordingly. 

These bribing techniques always enabled me to push myself harder and give in all to achieve those lucrative offerings. This made me self-enable & provided a lot of practical knowledge to stimulate my life hack skills & also helped me to decide on my career path in the long run.

Ofcourse, there is a flip side of the path if done with bad intentions, which should be avoided at any cost.
