Odisha UG MBBS BDS Admission 2019 – Odisha UG NEET Counselling, Registration, Merit List, Cut off Rank, Detailed information Medical and Dental Colleges

Directorate Of Medical Education & Training, Odisha, Bhubaneswar will be conducting Admission to UG Medical Professional courses and NEET UG Counselling for admission in Medical and Dental Courses (MBBS and BDS) in Odisha Medical and Dental Colleges to academic year 2019-2020 and will publish Merit List, Ranks and other UG Medical admission process. Online Counseling will be conducted by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). The counseling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses will be on the basis of NEET UG Result 2019 declared by the CBSE, New Delhi and other parameters /criteria mentioned by the Government for the Odisha State. Admission Committee will conduct Counseling for the Odisha state Quota Seats/Government Seats and Private Management and NRI Quota seats in Medical and Dental Colleges in Odisha for MBBS and BDS courses. NA organises National Eligibility and Entrance Test Medical Entrance Exam Under Graduate (NEET-UG) every year for admission to any graduate medical course in government or private medical colleges. Admission UG courses MBBS and BDS to All India Medical and Dental Colleges approved and recognised by MCI and DCI is through NEET UG. For the admission in academic session 2019-20, the NA conducted the NEET (UG) 2019 entrance test on 6th May 2019. NEET UG 2019 result was announced on June 2019. As part of the NEET UG result CBSE provides marks scored and All India Rank (Percentile secured) to the candidates.

Counseling shall be done in 85% of total seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges and all seats of Private Medical / Dental Colleges by OJEE. Counseling of Deemed Universities shall be done by DGHS.

Of the total MBBS and BDS courses seats available for admission in 2019-20 in Government and Government Aided MCI and DCI approved colleges, following is the distribution of seats

All India Quota 15% of total Seats in the colleges Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.

Online counselling would be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services for these seats. Information for online counselling would only be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website (www.mcc.nic.in).

State Quota remaining 85% seats  The counselling of 85% seats state quota will be conducted by the state medical counselling authority in case of Odisha by OJEE

Admission under 85% State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory

Eligibility Criteria for admission to Odisha Medical and Dental Colleges – UG Courses including MBBS & BDS

  1. Be a Citizen of India
    • Students applying for NRI seat should be Non Resident Indian or children of a non resident Indian (NRI means the children or wards of a person of Indian origin residing outside India)
  2. Should be of atleast 17 year sof age on the 31st december of the academic year for which the admission are being conducted (Must born before 01 Jan 2002)
  3. The candidates must be permanent native of Odisha or Children of All India Civil Service officers serving in state of Odisha cadre.
  4. Meet Minimum qualifying marks in HSC examination and NEET

  • The NRI seats in Odisha Medical and Dental colleges will be filled up in the following order:

Odisha NEET UG Counseling Result

In case the candidate resign after admission and on or before the designated date for withdrawal / resignation shall get back 90% of admission fees deposited and 10% shall be retained as processing fees. If the candidate resigns after such date is over, for which a seat lapse, no fees will be refunded and the candidate shall be liable for a financial penalty of Rs. one lakh.

UG MBBS BDS courses Admission Counselling Process

Important Steps for Admission to MBBS and BDS Course in Odisha Medical and Dental Colleges

  1. Registration  : All Candidates interested in Medical and Dental colleges in state of Odisha have to register using www.ojee.nic.in to participate in the counseling procedure. As part of the registration candidates have to fill and submit the online application form with the time mentioned in the schedule released by the OJEE. Candidates have to pay Rs 1,000 online only towards the counselling/application fees.
  2. Document Verification At Nodal Center: Candidates have to attend the physical document verification to get online application authenticated.
  4. SEAT ALLOCATION and Allotment cum admission letter

Indian Candidates

Candidates have to submit one self attested copy of the following documents

  • Copy of NEET Rank card
  • Copy of OJEE registration Confirmation page
  • 10th Board certificate
  • +2 Sc. pass certificate
  • +2 Sc. Mark sheet
  • College/School leaving certificate (Original College/School leaving certificate is mandatory during provisional admission, after getting seat allotment. At the time of document verification, this is optional).
  • Aadhar Card for ID Proof
  • Nativity/Resident certificate of Odisha (Form–III, See Rule-3 of Govt. of Odisha)
  • SC/ST Certificate by birth issued by competent authority, Government of Odisha (See Rule8(I)) j) Green Card issued by Family Welfare Dept. Government of Odisha only.
  • Ex Serviceman list is sent by Rajya Sainik Board, so document for Ex-Serviceman quota candidate will not be verified at Nodal center. Names of candidates sent by Rajya Sainik Board will be considered for Ex-serviceman quota seat.
  • FOR PC CANDIDATES – Candidates interested to avail Physical Challenged category quota, must appear medical board on declared date at SCB Medical College, Cuttack. Report from Medical board is final and binding on candidate for getting PC quota seat and no other kind of documents are acceptable.
  • Counselling Fee: Before reporting at nodal center for document verification, candidate have to pay the counselling fee of Rs1000/- (one thousand only) by online mode which is available at candidate login in ojee webpage(using debit card/credit card/net banking) or by using SBI challan (which can be printed inside candidates login) and by depositing the amount at any SBI branch. Payment proof should be submitted at nodal center.
