Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Karnataka will be conducting Admission to UG Medical Professional courses and Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct NEET UG Counselling for admission in Medical and Dental Courses (MBBS and BDS) in Karnataka Medical and Dental Colleges to the academic year 2019-2020 and will publish Merit List, Ranks and other UG Medical admission process. Online Counseling will be conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority, Government of Karnataka Malleshwaram, Bengaluru.
For the admission in academic session 2019-20, the NTA will be conducting the NEET (UG) 2019 entrance test on 5th May 2019. NEET UG 2019 result will be announced by 5th June 2019. As part of the NEET UG result, NTA will provide marks scored and All India Rank (Percentile secured) to the candidates.
The counseling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses will be on the basis of NEET UG Result 2019 declared by the NTA, New Delhi and other parameters /criteria mentioned by the Government for the Karnataka State. KEA will conduct Counseling for the Karnataka state Quota Seats/Government Seats and Private Management Quota seats in Medical and Dental Colleges in Karnataka for MBBS and BDS courses. 66% of the above seats will be filled by respective religious /linguistic minority candidates (MK, MA, ME, MU, MC, MM seats).

Bonds or Compulsory Training
Compulsory Rural Service for one year: All candidates who take admission to Medical course shall under go one year compulsory rural service in Government hospital as per Karnataka Compulsory Service Training by Candidates Completed Medical Courses, Act 2012 as amended in 27/09/2017 and Karnataka Compulsory Service by Candidates Completed Medical courses (Counseling, Allotment and Certification) (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
Please note that candidates will be entitled to only temporary registration till completion of such service. Until they complete the same, they will not be entitled for permanent registration. All the candidates who will be allotted Medical Seats through KEA both in Government and Private Medical colleges should compulsorily submit sworn affidavit to the Principal of the respective college at the time of admission (on a hundred Rupees e‐stamp paper signed by the candidate and the parent as per the format hosted on the KEA Website) regarding one year rural service after completion of the course.
Admission Procedure
The eligible and interested candidates have to compulsorily register online on the KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in/ugneet2019.htm to participate in the document verification for admission to Medical and Dental courses 2019‐20.
Enter all the details through ONLINE by browsing URL on website http://kea.kar.nic.in by selecting “UGET‐2019 Online Registration”.
After completion of entry of all the details candidate’s will receive an application ID and Password to their registered mobile phone number and to email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen.
Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG / JPEG format separately.
The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in the prescribed method.
