As per latest reports and Survey in 2019, the most popular baby names in India are Aaradhya/Aradhya for girls and Aarav for boys. This report is based on the survey by a financial data analytics company, which analysed 80,000 baby names.
The same study further shows that nearly 20% of boys and 25% of girls who were born in 2013-15, have their names start with “A.” For example, Anaya/Aanya, Aadya, Aarna, Anvi, and Anika.
Other popular names are Navya, Saanvi, and Kavya. For boys, Aarav, Kabir, Vivaan, and Shaurya.
According to the naming experts, many of these names have become popular due to some of the Bollywood star kids. For example, the name Aaradhya became a rage as Abhishek, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s daughter has that name. Similarly, Arav is the son of Akshay Kumar/Twinkle Khanna.
