This Raksha Bandhan, Check Out Bollywood’s Most Loved Bhaiyas and Behnas! Bollywood is famous for all its theatrics and drama, but not even a love story can be as powerful as a well-done brother and sister bond. From classics like Hare Ram Hare Krishna to obscure films like My Brother… Nikhil, Bollywood has come up with some very convincing on-screen brother-sister duos over time. Some actors and actresses have created such a strong bond as brother and sister on screen that we can’t stop crying!

Bollywood Movies Based on Brother Sister Relationship

checkout Bollywood movies which depict the warmth and craziness between Brother Sister.

10. Ranveer Singh & Priyanka Chopra – Dil Dhadakne Do

These two are extremely talented powerhouses in their own rights. Top that off with a rich family on a celebratory cruise, add loads of emotional drama and you have it! The two apparently built a really strong bond while filming, too.

9. Aishwarya Rai & Shahrukh Khan – Josh

Had you almost forgotten this one? We had! Before Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai became the reigning King and Queen of Bollywood, they had played high-octane roles as siblings. With the iconic song ‘Apun Bola’ the two kicked off the trend of “Mumbaiya” Hindi songs!

8. Amrita Puri & Sushant Singh – Kai Po Che!

Incredibly realistic and tastefully written, this brother and sister duo completely lived up to their roles. Sharing in each other’s lives for the good times as readily as the bad, these two will definitely make you cry.

7. Karisma Kapoor & Hrithik Roshan – Fiza

In a time when romance ruled the industry, this daring film captured the unadulterated beauty of a brother and sister relationship. From the agony of separation to the sheer bliss of reuniting in disastrous times, this movie itself is sure to be a tear-jerker. Keep tissues handy for when the title song comes up!

6. Arbaaz Khan & Kajol – Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya

This is the kind of brother-sister love to die for. This pair of siblings played their respective parts so well, you would readily believe they’re siblings in real life! For years afterwards, Arbaaz remained in popular memory as Kajol’s brother. Enough said!

5. Genelia D’Souza & Prateik Babbar – Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

This is easily one of the cutest and most accurate Bollywood depictions of a real life pair of siblings. It’s not always rainbows and sunshine, brothers and sisters get on each other’s nerves and have serious fights. At the end of the day, though, they love each other to bits and always find a way to make it up to each other. This film shows exactly this!

4. Juhi Chawla & Sanjay Suri – My Brother… Nikhil

This movie didn’t fare well at the box office, largely due to the fact that it dealt with AIDS and homosexuality. Sanjay Suri’s depiction of a gay man with AIDS in a time when obvious sexuality was considered socially indecent even if it was heterosexual will just break your heart into a million pieces. The way his sister Juhi Chawla stands by his side anyway… Just go watch this movie right now if you haven’t!

3. Shweta Prasad & Shreyas Talpade – Iqbal

There’s extremely close competition between this one and the next brother and sister pair for the spot of ‘best duo in recent times’. Shweta Prasad’s unwavering support for her differently abled brother’s desire to become a cricketer is sure to melt your heart.

2. Divya Dutta & Farhan Akhtar – Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

An epic duo from an epic movie, this one reveals the hidden nuances of a brother and sister’s love for each other. The film follows the legendary Milkha Singh through the entire length of his life including his experience of the Partition in 1947. There is no way Divya and Farhan don’t celebrate raksha bandhan together in real life, too!

1. Zeenat Aman & Dev Anand – Hare Ram Hare Krishna

As the saying goes, old is gold. This classic film features a song that brothers and sisters sing at least once every time they play antakshari together albeit only sarcastically. The iconic song, “Phoolon ka taaron ka” was a cult hit for decades. The tragedy of this film will haunt you for days!
