History

History
The element Tungsten was discovered by Carl Wilhelm Scheele in year 1783 in Spain. Tungsten derived its name from from the Swedish tung sten, 'heavy stone' (W is wolfram, the old name of the tungsten mineral wolframite)
The element Tantalum was discovered by Anders Gustaf Ekeberg in year 1802 in Sweden. Tantalum derived its name derived its name from from King Tantalus, father of Niobe from Greek mythology
