History

History
The element Oxygen was discovered by Carl Wilhelm Scheele in year 1774 in Sweden and United Kingdom. Oxygen derived its name from from the Greek word oxy-, both 'sharp' and 'acid', and -gen, meaning 'acid-forming'
The element Zirconium was discovered by Martin Heinrich Klaproth in year 1789 in Germany. Zirconium derived its name derived its name from from Persian Zargun, 'gold-colored'; German Zirkoon, 'jargoon'
