Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2019, NEET BDS Counselling 2019 and NEET MBBS Counselling 2019. Read this article to know about Himachal Pradesh State medical admission counselling 2019-20, timetable and schedule, Merit List, Rank, Online Registration and for Detailed information about private and government Medical and Dental Colleges in Himachal Pradesh. The Himachal Pradesh University will be conducting Admission to UG Medical Professional courses and NEET UG Counselling for admission to academic year 2019-2020 and will publish Merit List, Ranks and other UG Medical admission process.

NTA organises National Eligibility and Entrance Test Medical Entrance Exam Under Graduate (NEET-UG) every year for admission to any graduate medical course in government or private medical colleges. Admission UG courses MBBS and BDS to All India Medical and Dental Colleges approved and recognised by MCI and DCI is through NEET UG. For the admission in academic session 2019-20, the NTA conducted the NEET (UG) 2019 entrance test on May 2019. NEET UG 2019 result was announced on June 2019. As part of the NEET UG result NTA provides marks scored and All India Rank (Percentile secured) to the candidates.

The Himachal Pradesh University will be conducting the counselling on behalf of the Government of Himachal Pradesh (Department of Medical Education & Research) through Centralized Counselling Committee constituted by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. This Counseling will be conducted for 85% State Quota Seats and the seats in respect of Private Un-aided Medical/ Dental Colleges.

Seat Available for Admission

Of the total MBBS and BDS courses seats available in Government Medical Colleges for admission in 2019-20 in the approved MCI and DCI colleges, following is the distribution of seats

All India Quota 15% of total Seats in the colleges

Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.

Online counselling would be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services for these seats. Information for online counselling would only be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website (www.mcc.nic.in).

State Quota remaining 85% seats  The counselling of 85% seats state quota will be conducted by the state medical counselling authority in case of Himachal Pradesh by Himachal Pradesh Medical Council.

Admission under 85% State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory

Admission to State Quota seats and Management Quota seats in Private un-aided Medical/Dental Colleges in the State of Himachal Pradesh, will be filled up from the qualified candidates of NEET- UG-2019.

Admission Schedule

1.  Schedule for submission of online application form with successful transaction of fee.   
2.  Time for corrections in errors, if any, committed by the candidates while filling online application form ( except correction in category)   
3. Date of displaying the category-wise provisional merit list on the University website www.hpuniv.nic.in & www.admissons.hpushimla.in of qualified candidates of NEET-UG-2019 who applied online with successful transaction of fee within prescribed date to the University and obtained the print out of confirmation copy of ONLINE application form.  21 June 2019
4.  Dates of 1st round of centralized counselling for admission in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges including private Medical/Dental Colleges at H.P. University Auditorium, Summer Hill, Shimla - 5 .  26 Jun 2019 - 5 Jul 2019
5. Last date for joining the allotted college and course  12 Jul 2019
6.  Dates of 2nd round of centralized counseling for filling up of vacant seats in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges including Private Medical/ Dental Colleges.  24 Jul 2019 to 26 Jul 2019
7. Last date for joining for the candidates allotted seats in 2nd round of counselling .    
8. Mop- up round of Centralized Counselling ( Ist Mop-up round for BDS)  7 Aug 2019 to 8 Aug 2019
9.  Last date of Joining for the candidates allotted seats in Mop-up Round   
10.   Forwarding the list of students in order of merit equaling to ten times the numbers of vacant seats to the Medical College by the counselling authority.  
11.  Commencement of Academic session  1st Aug 2019
12.  Last date of joining the course/college(MBBS)   
13.  Second Mop-up Round of Counselling for BDS Course    
14. Last date of joining the college/course(BDS)   
15. Forwarding the list of students in order of merit equaling to ten times the numbers of vacant seats to the Dental Colleges by the counselling authority.   
16.  Last date of joining to BDS course.

  • For General/NRI & Other Categories: Rs. 1800/-
  • For SC/ST Categories: Rs. 900/-
  • For IRDP/BPL/PH Categories : Rs. 900/-
