Counselling by MCC DGHS

Counseling for All India Quota seats/ Institutional Quota/ Domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune & seats of VMMC & SJH for the Undergraduate session 2019-20 will be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee/ Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Seats All India Quota UG Medical and Dental Courses (MBBS & BDS)

As per Government of India regulation, out of the total MBBS and BDS courses seats available for admission in India in Government and Government Aided MCI and DCI approved Medical and Dental  colleges, following is the distribution of seats

All India Quota 15% of total Seats in the colleges Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats. Online counselling would be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services for these seats. Information for online counselling would only be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website (www.mcc.nic.in).
State Quota remaining 85% seats

 The counselling of 85% seats state quota will be conducted by the state medical counselling authority.

Admission under 85% State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory

Eligibility Criteria - UG Course MBBS & BDS

Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG All India Quota Counseling - All India Quota Seats UG Courses MBBS and BDS

All candidates who have qualified and received a Rank in the NEET UG conducted by the NTA except students J&K are eligible candidates for the All India Quota UG seats  counseling. This year cut off rank for 15% All India Quota is same as that of MCI/DCI cut off.

Eligibility Criteria for Deemed Universities Counseling - UG Courses MBBS and BDS Seats

All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (NTA).

Eligibility Criteria for Central Universities Counseling - UG Courses MBBS and BDS

  • Delhi University (LHMC,UCMS, MAMC) : - 15% Seats will be contributed to All India Quota & for the rest 85% seats, candidates who have studied 11th & 12th grade in Delhi are eligible for Institutional Quota of 85%.
  • Aligarh Muslim University (AMU):- will have 50% Institutional reservation for the candidates who have studied from their schools for the last 3 years. The undersigned office has already informed AMU to provide the list of enrolled candidates who will be eligible for AMU for this academic session. The rest 50% of seats will be open to all eligible candidates for NEET.
  • BHU:- The Eligibility criteria for BHU, will be all candidates who are eligible for NEET counseling will be eligible to participate in BHU Counseling for all seats of BHU.
  • Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi : 03 (Three) seats of BDS are under internal quota of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi and 47 (forty seven) seats of BDS as per the category mentioned in seat matrix are open to all. Students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying examination (X or XII) from Jamia Schools as regular students are eligible for participation under internal quota of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi.
  • VMMC & SJH : 15% +AIR seats of Institute Quota for AIQ and rest for candidates of Delhi who have studied 11th and 12th standard in Delhi

Eligibility Criteria for ESIC Counseling - UG Courses MBBS and BDS

Regarding eligibility for ESI 15% of seats would be allotted through All India Quota and seats left over after contribution to state quota would be reserved for candidates who are Wards of Insured persons of ESI. The data of Insured persons will be validated by ESI Authorities and this will be incorporated in the NIC software before the processing of result (priority for groups will be as per ESI Policy).

Eligibility Criteria for AFMS Counseling - UG Courses MBBS and BDS

Candidates who desire to participate in AFMS Counseling will be allowed to register with an option that they are willing to take part in AFMS Counseling and the list of such candidates will be sent to AFMS Authorities for conducting Offline counseling with respect to Physical Fitness and Personality Test. The result will be sent back to MCC for display on MCC website.

UG Medical & Dental Courses All India Quota UG 2018 Counseling and Admission Process

Before filling out choices students are advised to look at Previous year cutoff All India Quota Seat Cutoff for 2016.

  1. Registration, Submission of Choices, view indicative seat allotment, modify & lock on Online Medical Counseling page on  http:://mcc.nic.in
  2. Based on the application submit MCC will publish First round of seat allotment
  3. Selected candidates have to Report to the Allotted Institute, complete Admission formalities.
    1. Candidates have to declare if they want to participate in further rounds of counseling
  4. Display of newly added/vacant seats & also of anticipated vacancies for Round 2 for students who have not been allotted any seat in 1st round of allotment and students have shown willingness to participate in further rounds during round 1
  5. Earlier Choices submitted by the candidate will not be valid. Candidates have to submit Fresh Choices for seat allotment in 2nd round.
  6. Based on the application and choices submit MCC will publish 2nd round of seat allotment
  7. Selected candidates have to Report to the Allotted Institute, complete Admission formalities.

Documents required at the time of Joining/ Reporting in allotted Medical / Dental College

Candidates have to show Original documents and submit attested photocopies of documents for admission to under-graduate (UG) medical courses (MBBS & BDS) for admission to 15% of total seats on all-India basis required at the time of joining in allotted Medical / Dental College.

  1. Admit Cards of Exam issued by NTA.
  2. Result/ Rank letter issued by NTA.
  3. Date of Birth Certificate
  4. Class 10th Certificate and Class 10+2 Certificate
  5. Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
  6. Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form - 8 required
  7. Provisional allotment letter generated on-line.
  8. Proof of identity.
  9. Caste certificate if applicable
  10. Physically disabled certificate if applicable
