MBBS Admission Procedure and Eligibility for Admission – MBBS Course 2024 - 2025

The admission to St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore MBBS course will be through NEET UG exam. Admission to MBBS Courses in India in Medical Colleges approved by MCI is through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) [NEET (UG)] except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act and the Dentists Act, NEET UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in India in Medical and Dental Colleges recognised and approved by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Admission to all MBBS seats of St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore and other Medical colleges in Karnataka state is purely on the basis of merit. Candidates who have appeared in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and have cleared the NEET UG Exam conducted in the current academic year based on the NEET result are eligible for the admission. A Person will clear the NEET exam if marks obtained by the candidate are equal to or more than qualifying cut off marks. Department of Medical Education and Research, Government of Karnataka or the body nominated by the department will release the official notification for seeking applications along with the detailed procedure and schedule
Candidate who want to apply for Medical courses in Karnataka colleges have to apply online on the website of admission committee for the consideration of his candidature. Candidates have to submit the application or admission form within the time line released by the committee.
The department/Committee will prepare the result/merit list based on the NEET Score and other criterias. The merit list will be available on the website.
After declaration of merit list, selected candidates will be called for document verification and counselling/admission.
The department/Committee conducts two 2 rounds of counseling/ Seat Allocation and 1 MOP up admission

Admission to All India Quota UG seats

All government colleges have 15% of total seats for ALL India Quota. PG Admision Procedure

Medical Post Graduate Courses and PG Diploma Courses – Admission Procedure

As per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses in Medical Colleges approved by MCI in India is through NEET PG. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test PG (NEET-PG) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses and PG Diploma Courses (MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses) in India.

Admission to PG courses of AIIMS, PGIMER, SGPGIMS, NIMHANS and JIPMER is not through NEET PG exam. Know more about NEET PG exam. Know about AIIMS Admission Procedure and JIPMER Admission procedure.

Please note state government, private dental college and universities including the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh will NOT be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2024 - 2025.

The hospital is easily the best in Bangalore with the best doctors. The registration process was smooth however the downside is the crowd. It's a crowded hospital and the number of patients in any department is huge so expect long waiting times sometimes running into hours, but the doctors make the wait worth it. I went to many of the private hospitals and they charged a bomb for the same service which I got for almost half the price here.

I went for my father's kidney problem to the nephrology department.first of all one has to registeredâ by 120 rupees payments in between 7.30-12.30 for morning slot. There is afternoon slots as well but it costs 600 rupees. After doing registration one must be followed that room no along with receipt and collect token number. Doctors are well behaved and will help you to understand what exactly is your problem. Now one thing that's can be improved is price value like after registering by 120 rupees for the first time one have to pay again for next day reports checking if doctor has prescribed any and laboratory reports take time to issue like 4 hours or sometime 48 hours. For every blood tests u have to first pay then only it will get done.so as per my point of view it's better to let patient pay once and get his/her all tests done.that will be much more convenient and time saver as well. Overall it was a nice experience to get there for my father's treatment but for reports checking again take appointment and pay- this things can be improven.

I personally visit this hospital with my pregnant wife. It was an emergency situation due to some complications. But the staffs behaved like local goons. Unfortunately, I had no prior experience to entertain such goons. Finally after waiting for 40 mins, I lost my patience and took her to a Private hospital. A humble message to St John's Goons : Dude everyone comes to this hospital is not helpless, I had some emergency situation else I along with many other staffs was ready to admit in the same hospital. Doctors, Please spend some time with patients rather than blushing at your iPhone screens.
