Gujarat UG MBBS & BDS Admission – Gujarat NEET Counselling, Registration, Merit List, Cut off Rank, Detailed information Medical and Dental Colleges

Gujarat Medical Council (GMC) will be conducting Admission to UG Medical Professional courses and NEET UG Counselling for admission in Medical and Dental Courses (MBBS and BDS) in Gujarat Medical and Dental Colleges to academic year 2019-2020 and will publish Merit List, Ranks and other UG Medical admission process. Online Counseling will be conducted by Gujarat Admission committee for Professional Medical Educational Courses (PMEC) (ACPUGMEC).

The counseling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses will be on the basis of NEET UG Result 2019 declared by the NTA, New Delhi and other parameters /criteria mentioned by the Government for the Gujarat State. Admission Committee will conduct Counseling for the Gujarat state Quota Seats/Government Seats and Private Management Quota seats in Medical and Dental Colleges in Gujarat for MBBS and BDS courses. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organises National Eligibility and Entrance Test Medical Entrance Exam Under Graduate (NEET-UG) every year for admission to any graduate medical course in government or private medical colleges. Admission UG courses MBBS and BDS to All India Medical and Dental Colleges approved and recognised by MCI and DCI is through NEET UG.

For the admission in academic session 2019-20, the CBSE conducted the NEET (UG) 2019 entrance test on May 2019. NEET UG 2019 result was announced on June 2019. As part of the NEET UG result CBSE provides marks scored and All India Rank (Percentile secured) to the candidates.

Of the total MBBS and BDS courses seats available for admission in 2019-20 in Government and Government Aided MCI and DCI approved colleges, following is the distribution of seats

All India Quota 15% of total Seats in the colleges Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.

Online counselling would be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services for these seats. Information for online counselling would only be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website (www.mcc.nic.in).

State Quota remaining 85% seats  The counselling of 85% seats state quota will be conducted by the state medical counselling authority in case of Gujarat by Gujarat Medical Council.

Admission under 85% State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory

UG Seats in Private Colleges and Institutions in Gujarat

Eligibility Criteria for admission to Gujarat Medical and Dental Colleges – UG Courses including MBBS & BDS

  1. Be a Citizen of India
  2. Students applying for NRI seat should be Non-Resident Indian or children of a non resident Indian
  3. Should be of atleast 17 years of age on the 31st December of the academic year for which the admission are being conducted
  4. Should have passed 10th and 12th exam from Gujarat Board or CBSE school located in state of Gujarat or CISCE school located in the state of Gujarat
  5. NRI candidate must have passed qualifying exams with Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  6. Have qualified NEET conducted in the current academic year if seeking admission to MBBS,  BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BNAT medical courses
  7. Meet Minimum qualifying marks in HSC examination and NEET

Medical council of Gujarat, Government of Gujarat considers NEET score for following courses

Admission to these courses are based on HSC marks only, NEET score is not considered for these

    1. Application for Admission and submission of documents
      1. Admission committee will release advertisement in newspapers and website of the body seeking applications and complete schedule of the process.
      2. Candidate who want to apply for Medical and Dental courses in Gujarat colleges have to apply online on the website of admission committee for the consideration of his candidature within the time line released by the committee.

      1. Admission committee shall prepare merit list as per the rule for the eligible candidates who have applied using the application form released by the Gujarat Admission committee for Professional Medical Educational Courses (PMEC).
