In 2018, Over 28 lakhs candidates registered for the class 10 and class 12 examinations. The CBSE Class 12th examinations were conducted at 4,138 centres across India and 71 centres abroad.
CBSE Class 12th board exams began on February 15 and will conclude on 5th April 2023 while Class 10 exams began on February 15 and concluded on March 21st, 2023.

Past Statistics
Last Year, nearly 11 lakh candidates (6,38,865 boys and 4,60,026 girls) registered for the CBSE Class 12th exam as compared 10.67 lakh in the year 2016. Last year, the topper was Raksha Gopal from Amity International School in Noida. She, CBSE topper scored 99.6 per cent, while the second topper Bhumi Sawant of Chandigarh scored 99.4 per cent.
