The admission to Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences, Jammu MBBS course will be through NEET UG exam. Admission to MBBS Courses in India in Medical Colleges approved by MCI is through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) [NEET (UG)] except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act and the Dentists Act, NEET UG will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in India in Medical and Dental Colleges recognised and approved by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
Such candidates can take part in the counselling for admission to MBBS at Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences, Jammu. In order to get admission in Medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir the candidate should also fulfill criteria laid down by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses in Medical Colleges approved by MCI in India is through NEET PG. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test PG (NEET-PG) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses and PG Diploma Courses (MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses) in India.
Admission to PG courses of AIIMS, PGIMER, SGPGIMS, NIMHANS and JIPMER is not through NEET PG exam. Know more about NEET PG exam. Know about AIIMS Admission Procedure and JIPMER Admission procedure.
Please note state government, private dental college and universities including the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh will NOT be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2024 - 2025.
The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET-PG:
Admission to Medical PG courses of Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences, Jammu will be through NEET PG Only.

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test SS (NEET-SS) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate (PG) Super Specialty Medical Courses (DM/M.Ch. Courses) in varioud Universities/Institutions in the India.
Admission to all DM/MCh Courses in India including all Private Medical Colleges/ Institutions/ Universities/Deemed Universities and all DM/MCh courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions will be through NEET SS. Admission to PG Super Speciality courses of AIIMS, PGIMER, NIMHANS and JIPMER is not through NEET SS exam. Know more about NEET SS exam.
